Livio Apelloni

1903 – 1976

Livio Apelloni was a painter, journalist, created posters and karikatures. He graduated at the Accedemia di Belle Arti di Genova. In 1923 he started in Rome with cartoons for the Magazine Serenissimo. He worked for several magzines such as The Pasquino, The Typhoon, The Coffee, The Drama, The Play. In 1926 he started with a campaign for the tourism, the production of many affiches and brochures. He was editor for The Tribune from 1930, director for Gieten.
